My quilter gal pals sent seven Quilts of Valor quilts to Red Cloud, Nebraska. They were displayed at the Willa Cather Foundation Opera House Gallery before they were presented at the Grand Island VA Hospital. We are so proud of your dedicated time and support!

One of the subscriber winners for November was Diane who won the Three Mums applique quilt pattern! The complimentary colors give this piece a bright and cheerful look! Glad you enjoyed making it! Thank you for sharing the picture.

Mary Fran also submitted a photo of the Three Mums applique quilt pattern she made as a gift for a friend. As is her custom on small projects, it was made entirely from fabric left over from other projects. She used two colors of gold fabric in the background and left off the leaves and then quilted in gold thread. It looks fabulous!

The subscriber winner for May was Mary Fran who won the Fruit Fun applique quilt pattern ! It was made entirely from fabric left over from other projects - which Mary Fran says is her rule for smaller pieces. It looks so summery! She also sent a review of the pattern that you can read here http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/readreview.pl?readreview=1&reviewnum=30631 . Thank you so much for the great review. So happy you enjoyed making it!

Jane won the Simple Floral Elegance applique quilt pattern as the subscriber winner for April! She used machine applique for the top, then hand quilted the table runner. Jane also cut off the corners because she wanted to give the table runner a more "streamlined appearance"! It looks FABULOUS!
Jane from Western Australia
Melinda was one of the original gals in our informal quilt group that got us all hooked on quilting. Always enthusiastic and so much fun, Melinda's rendition of the applique quilt pattern Fruit Fun table runner showcases juicy batik fabrics in reds, yellows, and greens. Her free motion quilting really sets the applique apart and looks fabulous!
